Boutiques are exclusive small retail stores that specialize in merchandise for only targeted market. The word "boutique" in French means "a shop". Steps to start a Boutique:

Step1:
Decide what type of boutique you want to open, you want to be the owner and maintain a unique store or you want to take a franchising unit.

Step2: Select the place, where you want to start a boutique; it may be siripuram, dwarakanagar or dabagardens, which are business areas and see that the store has good street visibility.

Step3:
Get a resale number from the Franchise Tax Board. This will get you in to trade shows and allow you to purchase their goods.

Step4:

Step5:
Pick a unique name and complete all business tasks like opening a current account on the name of the store, etc...

Step6:
Design the store with world class ambience and display items throughout the shop that gravitate around the humans five senses. Accessories can be considered to "piggyback" your boutique items. These are basically non-competing items that will complement your products.

Step7:
One way of marketing is to go with a website and also advertise in local news channels, papers, hoardings to know your presence in the city.

Step8:
Make a press release and invite a celebrity during inauguration.
